leading global provider of audio conferencing products, today announced the ClearOne/Sony HD VC Solution,
a merging of ClearOne's HDConference(TM) technology with Sony's HD video conferencing system, the PCSXG80.
This solution results from a strategic partnership formed between ClearOne and Spire Global, the
exclusive US Sales, Marketing and Support arm for Sony's IPELA(R) line of IP-based video conferencing
endpoints and accessory products.
The combination of a ClearOne RAV(TM) 900, a ClearOne ClearPresence(TM) Dual Media Cart, a Sony
PCS-XG80 HD video conferencing system, and two Sony 46" LCD monitors combine to provide the user with
a fully-integrated video and audio conferencing solution. The simple lines and refined design of the system
transform any meeting room into a productive conferencing and collaboration space.
"Our customers have been asking for such a solution from us for quite some time. This partnership between
ClearOne and Spire Global brings together best-of-breed products from both ClearOne and Sony," said Joe
Sorrentino, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales, at ClearOne. "This solution will broaden our reach
into the conferencing market."
Eric Murphy, Vice President at Spire Global, said, "We're excited about this partnership. This solution
provides a natural fit between ClearOne's audio conferencing and Sony's video conferencing capabilities.
Customers will be able to enjoy a fully-integrated high definition conferencing and collaboration experience."
You can see the new ClearOne/Sony HD VC solution at InfoComm in Orlando, Florida, June 17-19, 2009,
where ClearOne will be exhibiting at booth #5951.
